Main Hall/Auditorium

The Hall is Bollington’s best equipped performance space. The room is 11m x 9m in total and has a flexible stage with good acoustics, full theatre lighting, sound and tech support. The stage, in its normal position, is 5m wide and 2.5m deep.

The Hall can be used for various forms of music and for comedy, drama, etc. Audience seating can be laid out for up to 120 theatre style in rows or for 70 café style, with tables and chairs. There is a small ‘green room’ behind the stage.

The Hall can also be used as a space for classes of art, dance, exercise etc. For
exhibitions and fairs, tables can be arranged around the room to suit the needs
of the event. The back wall, behind the stage, can be used as a projection wall.

Gallery Bar

The Gallery is 8m x 7m with the bar takng some of the overall space.

The Gallery can be used for meetings and classes of up to 20 such as language classes, book groups, meetings etc. A constant supply of hot water and mugs etc. may be used for refreshments. The Gallery wall, totaling 23m of hanging space, is used for art exhibitions on a four-weekly cycle between September and April.

A licensed Bar can be requested to support events; it is manned by volunteer staff and sells a range of beverages, including beer from Bollington Brewery Company.

Pat Penney Room

This room is upstairs and accessed from outside by the stage door. It is 7m x
5m and accoustically deadened.

It is equipped with six 2m tables and 32 chairs. Itmay be used for rehearsals, meetings, presentations etc. It has a white wall for projector use and a basic piano.

Meeting Room

This room (6m x 3m) is above the Gallery/Bar and is set out in meeting/committee room style with a long table and chairs. It is suitable for meetings of up to eight people.

Accesibility

The ground floor of the Arts Centre is fully accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs, with flat approaches to the building and all rooms. There is Blue Badge parking and an accessible unisex toilet near the entrance.

**We do not have a lift and the upstairs rooms are only reached by stairways.**
